West London Location
London is a great place to study - it is a vibrant and exciting city with more history and culture than almost anywhere in the world.

West Thames College has an ideal west London location with good transport links - just 30 minutes by train to central London and 15 minutes to Heathrow airport.

Around 7,000 students study at the college each year. It has a welcoming, friendly atmosphere and is the perfect place to meet lots of people from different backgrounds - not just from London, but from all over the world.

The college campus, based in Isleworth, has a mix of bright, spacious, modern buildings - such as the Millennium Building built in 1999 - and grand, historical buildings, such as Spring Grove House - former home of botanist and explorer, Sir Joseph Banks, who was the first 'director' of Kew Gardens in 1772 and travelled the world with Captain Cook.

Nearby places of interest include Kew Gardens, Osterley Park, Hampton Court Palace and Twickenham Rugby Stadium. Richmond, Kingston and Hounslow are excellent for shopping, bars, clubs and leisure activities.

Courses for International Students
The college offers high quality English language courses (accredited by the British Council), specialist vocational courses, University preparation courses and Higher Education courses.

West Thames College is an associate college of Kingston University. Students who are not quite ready for university can improve their English and academic studies on the 1-year International Foundation Certificate and then progress directly onto a Kingston University degree course.

The college specialises in vocational training - preparing students with the practical skills they need to work in their chosen career. We offer a range of subjects including computing, performing arts, engineering, hair and beauty, e-business and media. Students have access to state-of-the-art workshops, salons, computing and multimedia suites, recording and editing studios, performance spaces and sports facilities.

The teachers are fully qualified and experienced professionals. Most have worked in their specialist areas within relevant industries and can give up-to-date knowledge to their students.

Support for Students
West Thames College is renowned for the extra support it gives to students. International Students can get advice and support from the College's International Officer - before and during their course.

Excellent Facilities
Student facilities include an Internet café, plasma screen TV, Playstation 2, video games, a brand new sports hall and fitness gym, hair and beauty salons, library and computer suites. Students can also take part in fun activities, competitions, team sports and talent shows.
