Welcome to Frances King! Frances King was established in 1973 and with 30 years' experience is one of London’s most popular schools. We are located in central London with schools at Victoria and Gloucester Road - close to underground stations and leading tourist attractions. We teach more than 3,000 students each year, from over 50 different countries. As well as the university pathways programmes described below we also offer intensive 8- week courses in IELTS. Foundation Programme This programme is designed for undergraduates wishing to take a degree in Business, the Social Sciences or Humanities. University Partners: The Programme is validated by Roehampton University. Recent students have won places at Edinburgh University, University of Essex, University of Bath, University of Newcastle, University of Manchester and University of St Andrews. A large number of universities welcome applications from successful candidates. Course Modules: Academic English and IELTS, Business Studies, Economics, Information Technology and British Culture and University Life. Assessment: All modules except British Culture and Unviersity Life are assessed formally through course work and examinations. You will be given a final grade and a graduation certificate from Roehampton University. Successful completion of the Programme gives you access to a wide range of undergraduate courses. Pre-Masters Programme This programme is designed for postgraduates who need to improve their level of English and their ability to study in English before starting a post graduate degree. The programme consists of General English, Academic English and IELTS. In addition, students have a One-to-One tutorial programme consisting of task based research work and assignments in the students’ chosen subject. Semester and Academic Year Courses These are flexible programmes suitable for students between school and university or work and those intending to go on to a British University. Accommodation We also offer a wide range of good quality, reasonably priced accommodation to meet your individual accommodation needs: Homestay, residences, self-catering flatshares, studios and a range of hotels. Uniquely for a London school most of our accommodation is located in travel zones 1 & 2. Facilities and Services Our facilities include self-study centres (with library, computers, and free Internet access), relaxation areas.
