Boston College Boston College is a state-supported college on the East coast of Central England which has been recruiting overseas students for over 15 years and now has almost 200 international students from more than 25 different countries. Our good practice and experience resulted in us achieving 'Highly Commended' in the Beacon Awards 2005 for international student support.

We have excellent teaching staff, with time and patience to help you learn in a stimulating but relaxed atmosphere. We are accredited by the British Council for the quality of our teaching in our English Language department which means you can be sure your learning experience will be good. Our new modular course is flexible and enables you to choose the best time to join us. You will cover all aspects of the English Language including Reading, Writing, Speaking and Listening. We will assess your level of English when you arrive at Boston College so you can be sure you will study with students of the same ability. Classes are small; usually 12 - 16 students so you know you will receive the individual attention you need to help you succeed.

Boston College is based on two main campuses with English courses being taught in our state-of-the-art language building. This is next to our Hall of Residence on the Rochford Campus. A-Level and International Foundation classes are taught on both Rochford and De Montfort Campuses. Classrooms are modern and well equipped with the De Montfort Campus having a number of specialist facilities for photography and video, computer suites, art and music studios and an all weather sports pitch. Both of these campuses have large Learning Resource Centres, well equipped with computers for student use. Our students are given their own email address and use these to keep in touch with family and friends. The computers are also available for research or assignment work. Many of our diploma courses are taught on Rochford Campus. These include catering, hairdressing, computing and engineering, each with its own specialist facilities. We also have a Music Centre in the town centre with teaching rooms, recording studio and concert hall.

A social programme is organised throughout the year and has recently involved trips to Manchester, Birmingham, London and Europe. Christmas, end of term parties and Chinese New Year parties are annual College events. As active Wednesday afternoon sports programme is offered with many sports catered for. Free swimming is available to students daily at the swimming pool next to the Rochford Campus. Sports activities are available after class.

Boston town is a small market town in Lincolnshire, situated on the east coast of the East Midlands. It provides a safe and friendly environment for students to study while having good links to nearby cities like Cambridge and Nottingham. The college is only 10 minutes walk from Boston town centre with its modern shopping facilities, football and tennis clubs, a bowling alley, a street market and multi screen cinema. Boston is quite small so you will soon find your way around on foot or by bike.
